Traditional Japanese Rice Bags - various sizes
Handcrafted Traditional Japanese Rice Bag made with authentic Japanese cotton fabrics.
Each Rice Bag has:
* has a square base and sides,
* come in 2 sizes. Finished size: 6" (14cm) square base and sides or 7" (17cm) square base and sides.
* features genuine Japanese fabrics,
* is fully lined and
* has a Japanese style drawstring closure in waxed cotton cording with matching fabric ends.
Rice bag variations:
No 1 - 6" - made in the stitch and flip foundation technique with each square having a centre panel of sashiko stitching, has shades of blue fabrics with red highlight embroidery and quilting.
No 2 - 7" - Sashiko and Boro. Featuring one Sashiko stitched panel and one Boro panel.
No 3 - 7" - Sahiko. Featuring Sashiko stitching on all four sides.
No 4 - 7" - Sahiko. Featuring Sashiko stitching on all four sides.
Each sashiko stitched item is original and unique - no two are the same.
Colours and patterns will vary due to the individual nature of these products.
Actual colours may vary. This is due to the fact that every device has a different capability to display colours and that everyone sees these colours differently.

Do you run Classes / Workshops
Yes, we can run classes from beginner through to detailed workshops for Sashiko, Boro &Indigo Dyeing. Our workshops can include the supply of all materials and each attendee will go home with something new to continue their Sashiko / Boro / Indigo, journey. Classes sizes from 5 to 12 can be arranged with your Quilt group, friendship group etc. If you have a Group get together we can bring our pop-up shop along with the workshop.
