Scraps of authentic Japanese fabric for Boro inspired stitching

This product is NOT for conventional patchwork, it is for creative expression in stitching and patching and artistic textile work!!!! Please look at my photos of my work, or visit my Instagram page Bittern by the Bug. Please be aware these pieces are small, around 3 inches square or sometimes irregular in size. They are NOT cut with a rotary cutter as people doing this work will expect raw edges and slight imperfections, and sometimes irregular shape these are some of the key features of patching stitching work.

They are not suitable for mask making unless you stitch them to a foundation, and you are aware of the Boro style stitching techniques. So in this case I would suggest fat 1/8 th fabrics which are 10 inchx20 inch approximately or fat 1/4 which are 20x20 inches approximately

Start your own Boro inspired stitching journey with my packs of some authentic Japanese, fabric cut into Boro size pieces. Each pack contains hand selected mixture of fabrics, some modern and some vintage short rolls, with never more than three pieces of the same fabric. Please remember these are scrap packs!!!!!

Pack quantity means quantity of pieces in the pack, small is 30 pieces, large is 50 pieces. The pieces themselves are all approximately 3 to 4 inches irregular in shape at times, being scraps

Blue pack depending on what I’m working on and my offcuts change!
Modern Japanese and vintage fabrics primarily dark blue in color, designs may have other colors through them, may be some solid blue

Brown pack includes a range of colors from mustard, rusty brown to dark brown to a hint of red for variety, modern, contemporary, and vintage fabrics, cottons, silks, depends on availability. Some Japanese fabrics, some asian style fabrics

White/cream pack is NOT Japanese fabrics, it covers many textile varieties , textures, linens, cottons, sheer fabrics, thick fabrics, silk, recycled, vintage and new fabrics, one thing in common being the color, cream and white

Mixed pack will be all sorts of fabrics Asian inspired, or Japanese, some vintage, some modern, various colors, silk, cotton, light wool, not usually repeated from the other packs. So if you have also bought a different pack ie Whites you won’t get double ups

These pieces are approximately 3 to 4 inches square and irregular in shape and are suitable for textile art work.
Please remember that some of these textiles are from sharing my stash that I have accumulated over 25 years and I am offering them at a very affordable cost until exhausted instead of going into landfill!
The cost in reality covers my labour, ie time spent and packing.

They may not be suitable for patching jeans, especially silk, unless you back it with another piece of fabric
